In the tradition of convents and monasteries in Italy and Europe, we have welcomed guests since 1928. Travelers of all faiths, families, study abroad and pilgrimage groups have come to experience a unique and affordable stay with us. Originally built for Florence’s most noble Medici family, our historic 15th century palazzo remains lovingly cared for and is in a fantastic location for any stay in Tuscany – be it for work or leisure.

Special to our accommodations in Florence, all rooms include free breakfast, and guests are also able to witness the lifestyle of a modern day casa religiosa — where the Suore Oblate sisters tend to both their spiritual duties while engaging the modern world. For example, just as we offer impeccably simple, clean rooms and facilities, elevator access, and Wi-Fi for guests who like to stay connected; guests are also welcome to attend the private daily mass should they desire. Many guests simply choose to spend their time relaxing in the convent garden or sitting areas, taking a rest stop in between city touring, and generally absorbing the serenity, beauty and safety of the grounds without interruption.
